Celebrate Virginia Wine Month at Vinifera

Celebrate the bounty and richness of Virginia wines at Vinifera Wine Bar & Bistro. For the entire month of October, Vinifera will be offering a special prix fixe wine paired menu highlighting the best that Virginia has to offer.
 
Diners will indulge in Chef John Michael Hamlet’s carefully crafted dishes paired with Virginia wines picked by Vinifera’s wine expert, Sommelier Nicole Bernard. Guests will be welcomed to the October celebration with an amuse bouche and Tarata’s Bad to the Bone Bubbly from Leesburg, Virginia.
 
This unforgettable three-course meal will begin with Chef John-Michael’s chilled poached cod and scallop ceviche perfectly paired with the Glen Manor Sauvignon Blanc from Front Royal, Virginia. A smoked lamb shank follows, served with tobacco leaf, black truffle, butternut squash and Virginia foraged mushrooms. This dish will be complemented by Jefferson Vineyards’ Meritage, Charlottesville, Virginia. As no meal is complete without something sweet, Narmada “Primita” Raspberry Dessert Wine will be paired with a delicious white chocolate raspberry mouse prepared with raspberry sorbet, grilled fig and chocolate.
