Ambar, the nation’s capital’s first Balkan restaurant, will host a wine dinner with Chat's Liquors, located just a few doors down at 503 8th St, SE, 20003, and Grape & Barley Importers on Sunday, October 11th. Two seatings will be available, the first from 5 PM to 7 PM, and the second from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
At each seating, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a five-course meal prepared by Ambar's Executive Chef Ivan Zivkovic featuring modern Balkan fare from his new fall menu, while representatives from Chat's Liquors and Grape & Barley Importers will pour pairings of unique and affordable wines imported from K Cellars Thracian Valley Wines of Bulgaria.
Guests will sample K Cellars Chardonnay 2014, K Cellars Cabernet/Syrah Blend 2011, K Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 2012,K Cellars Merlot 2013 andK Cellars White Blend 2012. All the wines sampled during dinner will be available to be enjoyed at the restaurant, and can be purchased at Chat’s to be enjoyed at home. This unique experience is priced at $75 per person (all inclusive), and tickets can be purchased online here.
